Marina is an established community musician, performing artist and qualified teacher, with passion for promoting wellbeing through participation in music. As a performer, most notably Marina fronts critically acclaimed band Sparrow . As a multi-instrumentalist tutor, Marina teaches guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, vocals and music production technology. After qualifying to teach in 2011 with a PGCE from Brighton University, Marina trained on the prestigious Higher Education programme in Music Workshop Skills at Goldsmiths College, University of London and has led the London based Music Leader Training programme for CM since 2012. Through Rhythmix and AudioActive, Marina now delivers a diverse range of music projects for young people in challenging circumstances. On behalf of Wishing Well Music, Marina facilitates interactive music sessions within hospitals for children and for patients with dementia. Since 2014 Marina has led singing for health groups to support research into the health benefits of community singing by the Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health at Canterbury Christ Church University. Marina now also leads the community singing programmes on behalf of Varndean College.
